• Perform post-award activities with moderate supervision • Assist with pre-award activities under supervision/oversight • Liaise with accounting departments to resolve accounting issues and manage year-end processes • Track and maintain databases of grants submitted, awarded, and rejected • Work with principal investigators on fund management and budgetary changes • Approve purchasing documents and guide purchasing staff on grant-policy-compliant expenditures • Update and forecast grant expenditures for faculty grant portfolios • Manage implementation of contracts and subcontracts • Prepare and process correspondence with granting agencies • Obtain signatures and forward grant financial status reports to principal investigators and senior leadership • Monitor invoices for outgoing subawards • Coordinate internal and external requests for grant-related information • Close grant accounts and submit final reports and invention statements where applicable • Assist with departmental grant financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, program budgets, revenue reconciliation, financial reporting, and analysis • Coordinate proposal submissions, budgets, justifications, Other Support documents, due dates, and required materials • Maintain knowledge of regulatory compliance and agency/university guidelines • Record and report proposal and award history • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education • 2 years of relevant experience • Knowledge of SUBS system preferred • Knowledge of agency guidelines preferred • Experience with accounting processes • Experience with computerized accounting • Grant administration and grants accounting knowledge • Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Word • Workday Software • Adobe Acrobat • No specific certification/professional license is required • A driver's license is not required
