• Completes pre-certifications for complex and specialized services • Reads and analyzes therapy and treatment plans, drug protocols, and clinical documentation • Completes the authorization process with the payer and in EPIC • Completes rechecks on existing pre-certifications • Works with clinical staff and providers on add-ons, denials and peer resolve in a timely manner
• High school diploma or equivalent • 3 years in Clinical Office, Medical Billing, Health Information Management, or Pre-Certification • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred • Communication • Detail-Oriented • Epic EHR • Insurance Claim Processing Software • Insurance Precertification • Insurance Terminology • Managed Care
