📋 Description

• Schedule, cancel, reschedule, and register outpatient visits and procedures for multiple ambulatory clinics • Collect all necessary patient information for scheduling and registration • Obtain and verify patient guarantor information at least annually • Generate referrals when referrals or authorizations are needed • Schedule and register patients according to scheduling guidelines and medical appropriateness • Identify and communicate scheduling modifications and development needs • Notify appropriate personnel promptly about scheduling changes caused by cancellations • Respond appropriately to patient and staff needs and complaints, involving supervisors and patient representatives as needed • Consult referring physician offices to ensure written or electronic orders exist and obtain them when needed • Verify orders for completeness and document requests for outside orders • Complete Workques and daily scheduling-area tasks in a timely manner • Respond to patient communications promptly • Escalate immediate needs to the appropriate responsible area

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent • State criminal background check and Federal criminal background check, if applicable, as required for regulated areas • Ability to sit for extended periods of time • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work in a standard office environment
