📋 Description

• Partner with and report to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives & Integration for the US Field • Provide administrative support, including proofreading, correspondence, calendar, schedule, inbox, phone, travel, meetings, conference calls, letters, reports, presentations, files, and records • Articulate policies and documents to staff and volunteers • Support executive recruitment interview materials • Liaise with internal experts and colleagues to resolve issues • Manage budgets, expense reports, purchase-card transactions, contracts, payments, and invoices • Create, maintain, and analyze Excel spreadsheets and accounting reports • Monitor and categorize expenses with Finance • Advance projects resulting from national field initiatives • Build stakeholder relationships and lead, select, coordinate, and serve on project teams • Contribute to project initiation, planning, execution, measurement, evaluation, and follow-up • Develop and evaluate change-management, communication, marketing, and implementation plans • Monitor, measure, and report project impact • Research and benchmark with entities external to Young Life • Produce and host gatherings for staff and stakeholders, including agendas, pre-reads, minutes, follow-up materials, and Zoom production • Coordinate with camp staff, hotels, and event coordinators for in-person meetings • Assist the VPSII with communications, files, HR procedures, statistics, impact reports, calendar, travel, and email • Assist with cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of benefactors and engage in fundraising with a personal network • Model spiritual growth and leadership through service, hospitality, prayer, and participation in Young Life’s mission

🎯 Requirements

• College degree preferred, not required • High level of confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information appropriately • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills • Ability to multitask ongoing projects through completion • Ability to learn and operate related computer systems • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Typing speed of 55–60 wpm • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • 5–7 years of administrative experience preferred working for senior executives • Deep understanding of and commitment to the Young Life mission • Desire to lead spiritually through service, hospitality, and detail-oriented work • Relational and interpersonal skills to build connections with a wide range of people • Growth mindset and commitment to developing self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and cultural intelligence • Ability to listen, ask questions, learn, adapt, improve, and use feedback • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously • Strong attention to detail while maintaining a big-picture perspective • Ability to write simple, streamlined, compelling communications • Agreement to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information • Proficiency in Google Workspace • Willingness to learn and use evolving Young Life technology • Proactive self-motivation, self-discipline, and self-accountability for remote work • High responsiveness and partnership with the VPSII • Willingness to travel 2–4 times a year for 2–4 days at a time • Openness to participating in frontline Young Life work with kids through local Young Life and/or camp assignments • Must profess belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord and subscribe to Young Life’s Statement of Faith • Must be ready, willing, and able to fulfill required ministry functions and abide by Young Life policies
