📋 Description

• Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize network software and communication links • Organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems • Analyze and resolve end-user software and connectivity issues • Conduct capacity and performance analysis and recommend system configuration changes and upgrades • Improve system administrator efficiency through automated tools and scripts • Develop system administrator procedures and conduct training and skills assessments • Provide recommendations on technology direction aligned with business vision • Provide local and remote maintenance support for operational systems deployed at multiple locations • Direct other system administrators in day-to-day system administration, system optimization, and user assistance • Apply advanced application networking knowledge, including load balancing and fault tolerance • Perform vulnerability management • Install, configure, operate, and maintain servers, storage, and peripherals • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and VMware environments • Apply and validate DoD STIGs • Implement and manage security controls, patching, and vulnerability remediation • Participate in RMF documentation and accreditation • Monitor security threats and risks and manage firewalls • Develop SOPs, documentation, and network diagrams • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible • Create and maintain operating system images for deployment • Provide advanced Tier 2/3 technical support and resolve complex incidents • Monitor system performance and manage backups and disaster recovery • Escalate issues and provide detailed reports for critical outages • Provide end-user training when required • Plan future hardware/software needs and long-term system requirements • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with military and civilian stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a technical discipline • At least 10 years of specialized experience in Information Processing • At least four years of concentrated, hands-on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software • System administration in Windows Server and Red Hat Linux environments • Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy (GPO) administration • VMware virtualization environment management • DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) application and validation • Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation and compliance • PowerShell, Python, or Ansible scripting • System monitoring tools such as SCOM • Backup and disaster recovery procedures • Security patching and vulnerability remediation • Firewall management and security controls • Network configuration and troubleshooting • IIS administration • Hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance • Load balancing applications and fault tolerance • DoD Approved 8570/8140 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II • Application Administrator certification in one or more of: current CompTIA certification, current Microsoft Azure certification, IBM MQ certification, or Windows Web Server IIS certification • US citizenship • Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret or higher security clearance
