📋 Description

• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and observable data pipelines and services • Design and optimize data models, storage patterns, and processing frameworks • Lead technical design reviews and code reviews • Provide best-practice guidance and mentor engineers • Collaborate with product, analytics, data science, platform engineering, and company stakeholders • Implement and maintain automated testing, monitoring, and alerting • Evaluate and introduce big data technologies, tools, and patterns • Document data flows, interfaces, and operational runbooks • Build Zillow's context layer and agentic platform tools, authentication, and APIs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • 8+ years of experience in software engineering focused on data-intensive or distributed systems • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting production data pipelines and platforms • Experience with modern big data, streaming, and/or cloud-native technologies • Experience collaborating with product, analytics, and data science partners • Hands-on experience building agentic solutions or skills with major AI tools and internal platform tools • Databricks is a plus
