📋 Description

• Own the mission, execution, morale, and code quality of the Machine Learning Engineering team • Partner with product managers to maintain and execute the product roadmap • Remove roadblocks, implement process improvements, and delegate effectively • Build community and culture throughout the engineering organization • Develop, coach, motivate, and improve the team, leading by example • Champion and evolve innovation at ZipRecruiter and evangelize BIG ideas • Lead a Machine Learning Engineering team building products at scale for ZipRecruiter’s online employment marketplace

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in a fast-paced software development environment at scale • 2+ years of experience as a software engineering leader • Experience applying, developing, and deploying ML models for significant business impact • Preferred: 3+ years of applied AI, ML systems, or leading MLE teams • Preferred: Expertise with recommender systems, personalization, search, ranking, and/or matching • Preferred: Demonstrated experience innovating novel approaches and solutions to ambiguous problems • Preferred: BS/MS/PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field
