📋 Description

• Lead, grow, and develop the IAM Platform engineering team, including hiring, mentorship, performance, and career growth. • Own delivery of ClickUp's enterprise-grade access management platform, including authorization, permissions, authentication, SCIM, sharing primitives, audit logs, OAuth/API tokens, and core data models and APIs. • Set roadmap and priorities with product, security, and engineering leadership. • Run an AI-native team using agents and AI workflows to route, scope, report on work, reduce noise, and eliminate status meetings. • Partner with enterprise customers, GTM, and security teams on access-control and identity requirements. • Represent ClickUp in enterprise security and architecture reviews. • Own operational excellence for high-blast-radius services, including on-call, migrations, reliability, and security boundaries. • Uphold engineering standards for design and code review, testing, performance, and security-by-design. • Collaborate across backend, frontend, platform, product, design, and infosec.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building production SaaS. • 3+ years managing engineering teams, including senior engineers. • Required hands-on identity and access management experience. • Experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWTs, MFA/2FA, enterprise SSO, SCIM, and RBAC/permission and role models. • Experience ideally in a multi-tenant environment. • Proven ability to use AI tools and agentic workflows to automate reporting, triage, and status. • Experience delivering enterprise-grade SaaS at scale. • Experience working directly with enterprise customers and security, compliance, and administrative requirements. • Track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams, including hiring, growing, and retaining engineers. • Technical depth to lead architecture discussions and make sound trade-offs on high-blast-radius systems. • Security-conscious mindset focused on precise access control, server-side source of truth, correctness, auditability, and blast radius. • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. • Daily fluency with AI tools. • Preferred: IAM or authorization at scale; configuration-driven or policy-based access models; Zero Trust identity; SCIM provisioning; audit logging; SOC 2/ISO 27001; moving products upmarket; AI-native operating models; managing backend/frontend engineers or leads.
