📋 Description

• Serve as a key research and subject matter expert for Zoetis Pet Care globally • Plan and execute research studies demonstrating the technical, emotional, and economic value of Zoetis products and services • Develop and execute clinical studies and outcomes research strategies for multiple Companion Animals brands across markets • Design and implement pharmacoeconomic and outcomes research models to quantify product value globally • Collaborate with regional teams, Marketing, Technical Services, GMPS, GPM, VMRD, Regulatory Affairs, and other internal stakeholders • Support global lifecycle planning and integrate Phase 4/outcomes research principles into product development and post-launch strategies • Publish and present research outputs internally and externally • Disseminate research results across markets and facilitate knowledge transfer and synergies • Engage global Key Opinion Leaders, universities, and contract research organizations to expand the scientific evidence base • Conduct research with veterinary partners, pet owners, contract research organizations, universities, and internal facilities • Focus research on product performance, differentiation, and customer value across diverse markets

🎯 Requirements

• PhD, DVM, or MS in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Outcomes Research, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Public Health, or a related quantitative field; companion animal focus strongly preferred • Advanced training in epidemiology and biostatistics strongly preferred • Proven track record designing and executing outcomes and real world evidence studies in companion animals, including economic analyses and decision modeling • 5+ years of relevant experience in companion animal health or outcomes research • Experience with multi market or global exposure and collaboration with clinics, referral centers, or practice networks • Ability to translate complex scientific and economic findings into clear, customer focused insights • Strong oral and written communication skills, including publication and conference presentations • Experience with companion animal data sources, data quality assessment, and privacy/ethics compliance preferred • Proficiency in study design, statistical analysis principles, and reproducible analytics • Familiarity with survey design and patient (owner) reported outcomes is a plus • Expertise in scientific writing and developing research papers, protocols, and project summaries • Cross functional collaboration with Medical/VMRD, Commercial, and Regulatory teams • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) • Broad knowledge of canine and feline health and veterinary clinical practice workflows • Statistical analysis expertise using R, Python, SAS, or other software strongly preferred • Knowledge of health economics and outcomes research methods • Experience with PIMS/EMR, insurance claims, and registries, plus data engineering basics • Advanced modeling skills including generalized linear/mixed models, survival/time-to-event analyses, longitudinal/clustered data methods, and sensitivity analyses • Data visualization skills using tools such as ggplot, matplotlib, Power BI, or Tableau • Reproducible analytics and governance skills, including version control, documentation, and audit-ready outputs • Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment • Flexibility to manage variable research timelines and regional needs • International travel of 20–30% • Ability to work in a home office environment with reliable high speed internet and confidential workspace • All applicants must possess or obtain authorization to work in the US for Zoetis
