• Drive prospecting and acquisition of new business with pharmaceutical/industry customers • Drive negotiation of new contracts and agreements with industry clients • Oversee partnership/project lifecycle management, including initiation, contracting, order creation and documentation, and deliverables to external stakeholders • Represent Adaptive externally and deliver scientific presentations to identify opportunities • Contribute to new bookings and recognized revenue corporate goals • Work cross-functionally to manage and deliver deal commitments • Support business development strategy and initiatives • Identify, develop, negotiate and close strategic business opportunities with industry and institutional partners • Expand Adaptive’s partnerships with biopharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations • Oversee customer engagements from project initiation through completion, ensuring successful delivery and a positive client experience • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in academic and biotech industry; candidates with a PhD and 2 years of post-doc industry experience will also be considered • Demonstrated track record of closing transactions • Experience working with internal/external multidisciplinary teams including R&D, Commercial, Legal, IP, Finance and Operations • Excellent written communication skills • Technical computer proficiency, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Ability to work in a matrix environment and leverage cross-functional resources • Ability to work independently and on a team, exercising sound independent judgment • Enthusiasm, drive and energy in building internal and external partnerships • Independent strategic thinking and strong complex problem-solving ability • Interest in an early-stage company environment • Not currently sponsoring candidates requiring work authorization support for this position • Preferred: 3+ years of Clinical Lab, Client Services, Business Development or Alliance Management experience • Preferred: PhD degree in immunology, cancer biology or relevant scientific discipline • Preferred: Experience in cellular immunology/biology, PCR or NGS-based assays • Preferred: Experience with clinical trials operations/design
