📋 Description

• Gather and document requirements • Developing functional specifications • Lead a small team of software engineers • Build new features from the ground up • Maintain and upgrade existing code • Communicate with stakeholders across multiple departments • Develop plans and schedules for delivering features efficiently • Recommend products and processes to improve security and efficiency • Provide regular updates to company leadership • Explain complex problems to stakeholders in layman’s terms

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years developing and designing production applications written in PHP • 2+ years leading software development teams consisting of at least 2 other developers • Experience developing applications in Laravel • Excellent written and oral communication • Experience planning and documenting complex data structures • Experience managing CI/CD workflows that deploy Docker containers • Experience with memory-based datastores such as Redis and Memcache in a production setting • Knowledge of PHP Toolkit for IBM i (desirable) • DevOps experience (a plus) • Insurance or financial industry knowledge (desirable)
