• Provide leadership and guidance to multiple branches to grow the company's customer base and revenue stream • Be responsible for a revenue stream of at least $165 million and 1,000+ direct and indirect colleagues • Monitor and report progress toward defined goals and recommend corrective actions • Monitor business condition changes and competitive climate at the market level • Assess market-level progress and take action to meet or exceed budgets • Understand field opportunities and challenges related to sales, operations, and quality through regular market visits • Recognize and implement best practices across the company • Develop and manage relationships with multiple external customers • Communicate with management regarding sales and operational goals and other issues • Manage and support staff development, bench strength, competency-based development plans, succession planning, job satisfaction and retention • Administer company personnel policies and follow staffing standards and training recommendations • Interview, hire and establish colleague performance development plans • Conduct colleague performance discussions • Provide support, guidance, leadership and motivation • Perform other duties as assigned • Travel as required
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in business administration, engineering, human resources or fire science preferred • Ten (10) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required • Five (5) years of claims experience • Excellent oral and written communication • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products • Strong financial and accounting skills • Good organizational skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Good negotiation skills • Analytical and interpretive skills • Good judgment and discretion skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies • Ability to travel as required
