📋 Description

• Own and process end-to-end Canadian payroll across multiple provinces, ensuring accurate and timely payments • Review and validate payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, commissions, leaves, vacation payouts, earnings, and deductions • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation, including income tax, CPP, EI, and employer payroll taxes • Manage statutory remittances, garnishments, required deductions and filings, and year-end T4 preparation and distribution • Reconcile payroll registers, liabilities, and general ledger entries; investigate discrepancies • Maintain accurate payroll records and audit documentation in accordance with internal controls and audit requirements • Partner with People Experience, Finance, external payroll providers, and employees to resolve issues and respond to inquiries • Identify payroll process improvements and support automation, system enhancements, implementations, integrations, testing, and documentation

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of multi-province Canadian payroll processing experience • Working knowledge of CRA regulations, provincial payroll requirements, statutory deductions, remittances, and year-end processes • Experience with payroll and HRIS platforms, such as ADP WorkforceNow, UKG, Rippling or similar systems • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement, and supporting payroll projects
