📋 Description

• As Category Manager for B- and C-parts, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of product groups that form the backbone of our installation capacity: substructures as well as B- and C-parts for PV systems, battery storage and heat pumps • You understand that these parts, despite their seemingly low unit value, have a significant combined impact on cost, quality and installation speed • You proactively identify cost-down opportunities, independently recognize levers for savings and drive related initiatives – working closely with our regional sites – in a structured manner • Your goal is to generate sustainable value for 1KOMMA5° through a clear category strategy and structured supplier development – in a fast-growing environment that requires decisive action • Develop and implement a clear category strategy aimed at sustainably optimizing cost, quality and availability • Build and continuously develop a resilient, competitive supplier network • Conduct tenders (RFQ/RFP), negotiate prices and independently identify and implement cost-down initiatives in coordination with our sites • Manage and develop existing supplier relationships including performance monitoring • Ensure delivery capability and quality in a rapidly growing installation environment • Work closely with SCM, installation operations and regional sites on demand planning and prioritization • Perform potential analyses to identify cost-reduction levers within your product groups • Establish scalable procurement processes for a growing business • Manage product groups using KPIs and data-driven reporting • Actively transfer knowledge and promote best practices within the team

🎯 Requirements

• Completed degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or an equivalent qualification • Several years of experience in strategic procurement or category management • Technical understanding of products, manufacturing processes and cost structures in installation materials or comparable product groups • Experience conducting tenders (RFQ/RFP) and leading complex price negotiations • Proven track record in identifying and implementing cost-down initiatives • Strongly data-driven and analytical way of working with a solid understanding of cost structures and market mechanisms • Structured, self-directed working style in a dynamic, fast-growing environment • Strong communication and assertiveness when dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels • Experience with ERP systems and modern procurement tools • Business-fluent German and English language skills (C-level)
