• Drive new business acquisition for qPCR and NGS‑based microbiology solutions • Own and manage the sales pipeline from lead qualification through deal closure • Deliver against quarterly and annual revenue targets • Build and maintain relationships with decision‑makers (lab directors, public health leaders, procurement, R&D leadership) • Lead high‑level scientific and commercial discussions • Identify and develop new market segments, strategic partnerships, and distribution opportunities • Support tender responses, contracting discussions, and pricing strategy • Coordinate with Applications, Product, Marketing, and R&D teams to align customer needs with offerings • Act as the commercial voice of the customer internally • Track competitive activity, emerging technologies, and regulatory trends affecting qPCR and NGS microbiology
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Genomics, or related field • 3–8+ years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles within: NGS, qPCR, PCR Molecular biology Microbiology or infectious disease solutions • Proven experience managing complex, long sales cycles • Strong ability to communicate with both scientific and executive stakeholders • Experience selling: NGS/qPCR/PCR instruments, assays, kits, or sequencing services • Microbiology, pathogen surveillance, or molecular testing • MBA or commercial training is a plus, but scientific credibility is essential
