📋 Description

• Design, develop and scale AI agents in production, ensuring performance, reliability and low latency • Build and evolve agent infrastructure, including harnesses, orchestration, and context and state management • Architect solutions for multi-agent systems and integration with different tools and data sources • Develop APIs and backend services, such as FastAPI/Python, to support intelligent applications • Integrate new data sources and external services, such as medical APIs and clinical databases like PubMed • Ensure clinical accuracy, safety and regulatory compliance through testing and verification mechanisms • Implement observability with tracing, metrics, logs and alerts for production monitoring • Optimize latency, throughput and scalability of systems • Prototype solutions and validate hypotheses before scaling to production • Collaborate with Product and Data Science to define solutions and quality metrics • Conduct and participate in code reviews • Support other engineers through mentoring and architectural discussions • Document technical decisions, such as ADRs, and contribute to the evolution of engineering practices • Carry out management rituals, including 1:1s, continuous feedback, performance reviews and individual development • Define and track team goals, connecting technical deliverables to strategic objectives • Build and develop the team, supporting career plans and technical and behavioral development • Identify capacity gaps and support hiring with Talent Acquisition • Promote a culture of quality, collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement • Ensure adequate allocation of people to projects • Mediate conflicts and facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders • Connect strategy and execution, translating leadership directions into clear plans for the team

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience in Software Engineering, with mastery of architecture and design patterns • Deep knowledge of distributed systems, including consistency, fault tolerance and the CAP theorem • Experience with developing REST APIs, versioning, caching and resilience • Proficiency in concurrency and parallelism, including async, threading and race conditions • Experience with observability, distributed tracing, metrics, logs and debugging in production • Experience with resilient and fault-tolerant systems • Experience with automated testing: unit, integration and E2E tests • Familiarity with AI systems and agent concepts, including orchestration and multi-agent systems • Experience with modern AI-assisted development tools, such as Copilot and Cursor • Fluency in Portuguese and technical reading in English • Previous experience managing engineering teams, as a technical lead, coordinator or similar • Ability to develop people, provide structured feedback and conduct performance conversations • Experience managing multiple priorities and concurrent projects • Ability to influence decisions and align stakeholders • Ability to make decisions in complex and ambiguous scenarios, balancing speed and quality • Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
