• Research and maintain compliance requirements for labor laws in U.S. states (e.g., posters, classification, OSHA, onboarding forms) • Manage onboarding paperwork (W-9, I-9, contractor agreements, per diem forms, insurance docs, etc.) • Ensure proper classification of workers (W-2 vs 1099) based on state laws • Support Spanish-speaking contractors during onboarding and check-ins • Track worker documentation and ensure timely renewals • Communicate with payroll and finance teams regarding per diem, hours worked, and compliance issues • Assist with maintaining digital records and updating internal compliance databases
• Fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken and written) • 2+ years of experience in HR, recruiting coordination, or compliance (U.S. experience preferred) • Familiarity with U.S. employment classifications, onboarding processes, and labor law basics • Strong organizational and administrative skills • Experience using tools like Google Workspace, DocuSign, Gusto, ADP, QuickBooks, Airtable (preferred but not required) • Comfortable working remotely across time zones and handling sensitive documentation
