• Oversee a large field sales organization and deliver sustainable business growth across the region • Translate commercial strategy into impactful regional plans that accelerate revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships, and expand market presence • Drive business development for self-manufactured materials in bioprocessing within a complex European matrix organization • Influence and steer teams and individuals outside the formal reporting line • Assist executives and senior directors in defining organizational goals and strategic plans • Partner with senior commercial leaders to align regional efforts with broader business objectives • Solve complex sales and operational challenges and optimize team performance and resource deployment • Lead, inspire, and drive commercial success across multiple territories • Develop and execute business strategies across multiple European markets • Collaborate with country sales managers and cross-functional teams • Grow business by leading and developing customer and distributor relationships • Ensure achievement of sales, net contribution, working capital, annual sales, and gross margin targets • Prepare sales forecasts, perform trend analysis, and drive achievement • Develop strategies and implement plans to grow profitable sales • Improve operational efficiency through discipline in DSO, finished-goods days, and outstanding balances • Communicate and implement company policies, procedures, and business ethics within the team • Collaborate with marketing to build market awareness • Understand market challenges and trends and provide strategic direction • Improve sales pipeline transparency and accountability through forecast management and sales tools
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry or another related discipline • 10–12 years of sales experience in the Fine Chemical industry • Minimum 3–4 years of experience at the same level in a similar industry • Experience developing and leading successful teams delivering consistent results • Leadership skills • Ability to drive a sales team • Understanding of customer and market dynamics • Achievement orientation • In-depth knowledge of domestic Fine Chemical business and marketing dynamics • Interpersonal skills • Communication skills • Time management and prioritization • Master’s degree or MBA preferred • Office and travel/fieldwork availability 60%–70% of the time • Primarily sedentary work involving extended periods of computer use
