📋 Description

• Perform electro-mechanical work in a computer-based environment • Assist and troubleshoot with engineers as part of a team • Test, install, start up and demonstrate BW Converting equipment • Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance • Install and adjust machine sections and complete machines using assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, manuals, procedures and specifications • Set up and operate machinery to produce customer products • Instruct operators in setup and operating procedures • Provide technical and practical answers to customer questions and problems • Perform routine and emergency mechanical/electrical breakdown service • Determine root causes and prepare reports describing findings and solutions • Assist with pre- and post-installation meetings, audits and manpower assessments at customer facilities • Report quality issues and take corrective action • Act as liaison between customers and the company while maintaining positive relationships • Prepare and submit required reports • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to less experienced personnel • Collaborate with field service team members, contractors and customer personnel throughout project stages • Promote a safety mindset, training and adherence to safety policies and procedures • Maintain clean and orderly work areas and equipment; report and correct unsafe practices or conditions • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• An Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related field is required • 18 years old at the time of hire to operate equipment • Strong mechanical and/or electrical skill set • Knowledge of basic web handling and industrial experience; experience in Paper Products, Packaging, Nonwovens or Flexographic presses is a plus • Knowledge of Giddings & Lewis, Rockwell, and Siemens PLC is highly recommended • Background in machine process control • Experience with Indramat and Rockwell servo control systems • Knowledge of Ethernet and SEROCS protocols • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time • Ability to bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift and move frequently for extended periods • Ability to lift, move or transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionally • Ability to walk, stand or move continuously • Ability to work around typical machine shop physical hazards, potentially requiring respiratory protection • Occasional computer operation, keyboarding and grasping items
