📋 Description

• Analyse business requirements, functional specs, and user stories to design comprehensive test cases and scenarios • Perform end-to-end testing of transaction lifecycles, including initiation, authorisation, settlement, and reconciliation • Proactively explore the platform for edge cases, risks, and unanticipated behaviour • Validate data accuracy and consistency across services using SQL queries against PostgreSQL or MySQL • Test REST and gRPC endpoints with Postman, grpcurl, or similar tools • Verify event-driven flows across Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS, including retries and duplicate handling • Write and extend automated tests in Go for regression-critical paths • Collaborate with the engineering team as needed • Log, track, and manage defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps, payloads, and service logs • Run regression testing after every deployment

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of manual testing experience with a focus on backend services and APIs • Domain experience in iGaming, Fintech, payment gateways, or banking platforms • Proficiency in writing intermediate SQL queries to validate data in relational databases • Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman • Experience with test management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr • Able to read Go and write or extend tests in it • Prior automation experience in any language, with willingness to work in Go • Working knowledge of Docker and ability to spin up services locally for testing • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail • Existing Go experience (nice to have) • Experience supporting UAT with business stakeholders (nice to have) • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (nice to have) • Familiarity with Kubernetes or observability tooling (nice to have) • Background in microservices architectures (nice to have)
