📋 Description

• Build and lead the internal Backend team from the ground up • Support the full migration and long-term internal ownership of the platform • Lead the PHP backend, maintaining system stability, security, and optimization throughout migration • Partner with the Software Architect to implement a scalable, internally managed technical architecture • Mentor and grow engineers while establishing standards for high-velocity delivery, clean code, and rigorous testing • Drive the transition from a legacy environment to a modern, high-performance internal architecture • Own delivery of the backend roadmap • Maintain high availability and fault tolerance for global gaming systems • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-caliber internal team

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Senior or Lead Engineer with a proven ability to scale high-performance engineering teams • Background in iGaming, Sportsbook, or Fintech platforms • Mastery of PHP/Laravel • Experience refactoring complex systems for scale • Experience in high-stakes migration environments • Deep knowledge of relational databases, including PostgreSQL/MySQL • Experience with Redis • Experience building scalable REST/GraphQL APIs • Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and automated CI/CD pipelines • Pragmatic, hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead by example in the codebase • Excellent communication skills in English • Experience with event-driven architectures, including Kafka and RabbitMQ • Knowledge of observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog • Excellent AI usage skills • Familiarity with AWS/GCP cloud environments • Knowledge of security best practices for high-volume financial transactions • Knowledge of Golang
