📋 Description

• directly oversee engineers and set standards for excellent people management • develop and establish a consistent people-management operating model for all team leads • facilitate performance cycles and organization-wide calibrations • actively participate in hiring, including interview loops • improve onboarding and growth experiences for new engineers • help build the engineering ladder, job structure, and relevant KPIs • maintain approximately 20–30% hands-on involvement, stay close to the codebase, and support the modernization of our systems.

🎯 Requirements

• several years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Team Lead with multiple direct reports • solid software engineering background • comfortable operating in matrix organizations with separate product and people leadership • structured and empathetic leadership in difficult feedback conversations, performance issues, and active career development • strategic thinking at the organizational, process, and cultural levels • technical understanding and the ability to earn engineers' trust • high emotional intelligence, conflict-resolution skills, and clarity in communication • fluent German; English used as a working language.
