📋 Description

• Identify and prospect new commercial sector clients (state, local, education, and government agencies) through research, outbound outreach, and networking. • Qualify leads and initiate meaningful conversations focused on clients’ IT modernization, cybersecurity, cloud, and compliance challenges. • Schedule meetings and support sales executives in the sales process. • Maintain accurate records of outreach and client interactions in CRM systems. • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop targeted campaigns for commercial sector prospects. • Stay current on commercial sector technology trends, procurement methods, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, PCI). • Articulate the Blue Mantis value proposition—security-first, cost optimization, compliance, and innovation—to commercial sector decision-makers. • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for outreach, meetings booked, and pipeline generation.

🎯 Requirements

• 1-3 years of business development, sales, or lead generation experience (preferably in IT services or commercial sector markets). • Understanding of commercial sector procurement cycles and compliance requirements. • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. • Experience using CRM and sales enablement tools. • Knowledge of IT solutions such as managed services, cybersecurity, cloud, and data enablement is a plus
