📋 Description

• Ensure company practices and projects are compliant with labor relations requirements in Europe and build dedicated strategy in each country • Collaborate with Legal, HR, and Operations teams to mitigate labor risks and support organizational objectives • Identify areas for improvement in managing employee representative bodies across countries and implement corrective processes • Participate in works council meetings and organize meetings with representatives • Provide guidance and training on works council and union management, labor relations policies, collective bargaining agreement provisions, employee relations strategies, and best practices • Meet regularly with employees through interviews or work assessments • Partner with labor relations specialists and functional partners to execute actions following union or works council negotiations and work environment assessments • Centralize recurring issues and align stakeholders on action plans • Develop partnerships with business leaders and HR functions to create integrated solutions that foster relationships, trust, and engagement • Travel within Germany and across Europe according to project and operational needs

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Employee/Labor Relations/HR with labor relations responsibilities, including works council management in Germany • Experience in works council management/works council support in Germany • Experience with HR, labor, and employment-related laws, policies, and procedures • Extensive experience working in a company with union involvement • Experience managing sensitive labor issues requiring emotional intelligence to effectively resolve conflicts and support employee well-being • Fluent in German and English • Current legal authorisation to work immediately in Germany • Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process • Master degrees in HR, Employment law and similar are preferred • Experience with collective agreement negotiations or European project management is a plus
