📋 Description

• Management and negotiation of rights and licenses for our publications • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts with authors, illustrators, publishers, agencies and other rights holders (domestic and international) • Ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and copyright regulations • Tracking royalty payments and settlements • Close collaboration with editorial and royalties departments to ensure smooth processes • Advising and coordinating with the publisher on contractual matters • Shaping and optimizing internal contract processes; maintaining system entries • Participating in cross-group meetings on contracts and legal matters • Further development of overarching legal topics • Active use and co-creation of AI-powered tools to support and improve efficiency in contract management

🎯 Requirements

• Completed degree and/or relevant experience in law, publishing and/or vocational training as a publishing or media clerk • Very good knowledge of copyright and licensing law • Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication • High organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work in a team and flexibility • Business-fluent English skills, both written and spoken • Openness to the use of AI and digital tools; ideally initial experience with AI applications or willingness to engage actively • Digital affinity; confident use of MS Office, ideally with prior experience of publishing software such as Pondus and SVS
