β’ Works closely with Central Intake team β’ Is the βexpertβ on insurance related inquiries β’ Verify commercial insurance benefits when needed, concurrently with the influx of new referrals β’ Audit all new admission charts for multiple sites β’ Audits and verifies correct Notice of Election information entry and communicates with billing department β’ Verify all patient information is correct, change information as it is identified as having been incorrect β’ Communicate closely with Central Intake department, location business offices and corporate billing department β’ Validate and confirm entry of Medicaid, Medi-Cal and Medicaid Room and Board β’ Pinpoints potential areas of compliance exposure and risk of non-payment β’ Supports confidentiality policies including company policies, HIPAA, etc β’ Re-verify all payer information for multiple sites at the beginning of a new year and communicate liability to families/patient β’ Participates in department quality initiatives β’ Other duties as assigned
