Borussia Dortmund is a German professional multi-sports club best known for its top-tier football (soccer) team. The organization operates the first team, extensive youth academy (NLZ), women’s and other sports sections (handball, table tennis, eSports), manages Signal Iduna Park stadium, fan services, ticketing, merchandising and club media (BVB‑TV, podcasts, netradio). The club also runs community, education and sustainability programs and commercial activities including sponsorships, hospitality and travel offerings.

📋 Description

• Take on a key role at the interface between the youth academy (NLZ) and the professional/licensed department • Act as the central point of contact for loaned players and top talents (TT) with operational responsibility • Analyze and identify suitable loan clubs for individual development pathways • Support loaned players and conduct regular visits to loan clubs • Serve as the main contact for loan clubs and assist in coordinating top talents (training, match and development plans) • Prepare structured performance reports and ensure transparent communication to the sporting leadership • Produce regular status reports, potential analyses and development forecasts • Use data-driven tools to objectively assess player development and loan assignments • Build and maintain a resilient network with national and international clubs, agents and partners • Be the point of contact for transition players and their environment • Advise the sporting leadership on appropriate loan options

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of experience in professional football as a player or coach (at least in a performance-oriented youth setting/NLZ) and/or in scouting with a focus on potential assessment • Demonstrably structured and forward-looking working methods • Experience in supporting and developing top talents • Ability to connect with adolescents and young adults with empathy and authority • Strong communication skills, high team orientation, loyalty and integrity • High degree of responsibility and organizational skills • Confident, assured presence with strong assertiveness and persuasiveness • High resilience, flexibility and willingness to travel (situationally >50%) • Language flexibility (German, English, preferably a third language)
