📋 Description

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Network Security team, ensuring cohesion, high performance, and continuous growth through mentoring, structured feedback, and career planning. • Ensure the continuous operation, maintenance, and evolution of iFood’s firewall and VPN infrastructure. • Oversee multi-CDN edge security architecture and the administration of WAF policies on Akamai and Cloudflare. • Protect web applications, APIs, and digital properties against application-layer attacks, the OWASP Top 10, and emerging threats. • Drive bot management and crawler protection strategies, balancing automated traffic with legitimate access. • Manage relationships with security vendors, CDN partners, and infrastructure providers. • Oversee the security of office network infrastructure, including firewalls, segmentation, and perimeter controls. • Lead the modernization of VPN and remote access security, including ZTNA initiatives and platform migration. • Develop and promote automation tools, scripts, and workflows to reduce manual work and accelerate detection and response. • Define and enforce network security standards, baselines, and policies across corporate, production, and acquired-company environments. • Collaborate with CloudSec, CSIRT, CorpSec, DataSec, and engineering teams on platform security, incident response, and threat intelligence. • Participate in vendor assessments, architecture reviews, and technology selections for network security tools.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience managing firewalls in enterprise environments, including configuration, policy lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting of next-generation firewall platforms. • Strong hands-on expertise in VPN management, including site-to-site, remote access, and zero-trust network access (ZTNA) architectures, with experience in migration and modernization initiatives. • Deep knowledge of Web Application Firewall (WAF) administration, including Akamai Kona Site Defender and Cloudflare WAF, rule tuning, custom signatures, false-positive management, and multi-CDN edge security architectures. • Experience designing and implementing bot management and crawler protection strategies, including rate limiting, behavioral analysis, challenge-response mechanisms, and automated traffic classification. • Solid understanding of network security architecture, including segmentation, DMZ design, routing, access control lists, DNS security, TLS/mTLS, DDoS protection, and perimeter defense models. • People management experience, with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams with varying levels of seniority, including performance management, career planning, and succession planning. • Knowledge of scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or equivalent), with a willingness to expand into infrastructure as code and automated network security operations. • Experience managing vendors and contracts for security infrastructure, including SLAs, performance monitoring, renewal cycles, and service-level governance. • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and Kubernetes environments, as well as the relationship between network security and adjacent security domains (CloudSec, CSIRT, CorpSec, and engineering teams). • Experience using AI tools and platforms to enhance security operations, threat detection, and team productivity.
