📋 Description

• Provide support and guidance on all aspects of occupational health & safety and environmental protection for services, projects, and the integration of acquisitions in Germany, ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, and internal corporate requirements. • Collaborate with senior leadership and other functions to achieve optimal EHS performance. • Support senior leadership in implementing EHS strategies and advise operational management to prevent workplace accidents and occupational illnesses. • Promote and ensure adherence to the carrier’s “Lead with Safety Commitments” and actively foster EHS as a shared responsibility embedded in the right EHS culture. • Coach management teams to develop a deep understanding of EHS responsibilities and the business benefits of a resilient EHS program. • Oversee EHS investigations into workplace incidents to identify root causes, determine immediate and preventive actions, and document lessons learned. • Determine EHS resource needs during the project bidding phase based on project role, scope, hazard profile, and technical complexity. • Manage EHS prequalification, deployment, and performance of subcontractors. • Develop and deliver EHS training and development programs. • Conduct regular safety inspections/audits and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions. • Provide administrative support, in particular for the internal EHS reporting system. • Review and update all EHS policies, procedures, and risk assessments. • Produce timely EHS communications in a variety of formats (videos, in-person briefings/presentations, written communications). • Support the renewal of EHS certifications. • This role requires regular travel within Germany to visit construction sites and depot locations.

🎯 Requirements

• Certified Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit) in accordance with §7 ASiG (German Occupational Health and Safety Act) • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience with increasing responsibility in organizations with service, construction, or manufacturing activities • Knowledge of regulatory requirements including safety, environmental, and other standards applicable to building services and construction • Proven ability to organize, motivate, drive change, and collaborate across functions • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence, build effective working relationships, and drive cultural change, combined with a strong willingness to learn and develop • Proven ability to work within a matrix organization and to influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a shared goal • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
