📋 Description

• Operate as a technical leader within the team and broader engineering organization • Lead by example in using agentic-AI tools as the default way of working • Shape architecture and design and raise engineering quality standards • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate technical decisions into business value • Create architecture, prototypes, and design proposals aligned with product and platform vision • Influence technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, prototypes, design discussions, and hands-on SDLC delivery • Define and execute product/platform architecture roadmaps with senior developers, architects, and tech leads • Break down large initiatives into parallelizable, incremental deliveries • Champion proposals from design through production implementation • Improve product builds, CI/CD pipelines, and the overall SDLC • Drive automation across builds, testing, deployment, and operational workflows • Evaluate emerging technologies, build-vs-buy tradeoffs, and platform modernization opportunities • Troubleshoot persistent production issues and drive reliability, observability, monitoring, and incident response • Maintain technical documentation and facilitate design discussions • Represent the team in discussions with Technology, Operations, Product/UX, Security, SMEs, and external stakeholders • Mentor developers through design reviews, AI sessions, and feedback on skills, prompts, and agent inputs • Define and evolve backend service architecture and standards for scalability, security, reliability, and APIs • Design, build, and operate distributed cloud-native services • Partner with QA, Security, Product, Operations, architects, and technical leads • Own cloud-platform security posture and CVE remediation • Apply or review applied-cryptography and secure-transport patterns

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience • 8+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated impact beyond a single team • Experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native SaaS/multi-tenant platforms at scale, ideally on AWS • Strong software fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles, and code quality advocacy • Experience with agentic-AI software development practices • Experience designing and consuming HTTP APIs such as REST or GraphQL • Experience mentoring developers and influencing architectural decisions across teams • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong initiative to improve processes, tools, methodologies, and product quality • Deep expertise in cloud-native service architecture • Native Windows/C++ background or willingness to build it for legacy codebase refactoring and patching • Experience with Java 25, SpringBoot, Spring Cloud Gateway, AWS, CloudFormation, Terraform, Kubernetes/Istio, AWS CDK, DocumentDB, PostgreSQL, JUnit, New Relic, Jira, Devin, Claude, GitHub • Use and responsible evaluation of AI-assisted development tools • Nice to have: Azure or Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, open-source contributions, native Windows development (C++/MFC/COM), or applied cryptography libraries
