📋 Description

• Document Patient Encounters: Accurately and efficiently transcribe medical histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans during patient visits. • Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR): Update and maintain patient records in the EHR system, ensuring all information is complete and accurately recorded. • Real-Time Data Entry: Enter patient information into the EHR system in real-time, supporting healthcare providers during consultations. • Coordinate with Medical Team: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care and accurate documentation. • Assist with Chart Reviews: Review and edit patient charts for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and compliance standards. • Maintain Confidentiality: Handle patient information with the utmost confidentiality and in compliance with HIPAA regulations. • Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks as needed to support the healthcare team, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence.

🎯 Requirements

• Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems is a plus. • Excellent typing and transcription skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Proficiency with EHR systems and general computer literacy • Effective communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently • *Certifications:* Certified Medical Scribe Specialist (CMSS) certification is an advantage but not required. • HIPAA certification is preferred • **Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements:** • **Internet Connection:** • Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of **15 Mbps**. • Backup internet connection with at least **10 Mbps**. • Backup connection must be capable of supporting work during a power outage. • **Primary Device:** • Desktop or laptop equipped with at least: • **Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer)**, **Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer)**, **AMD Ryzen 5**, or an equivalent processor. • A minimum of **8 GB RAM**. • **Backup Device:** • Must meet or exceed the performance of an **Intel Core i3** processor. • Must be functional during power interruptions. • **Peripherals and Workspace:** • A functioning **webcam**. • A **noise-canceling USB headset**. • A **quiet, dedicated home office space**. • A **smartphone** for communication and verification purposes.
