📋 Description

• Advise and support clients on complex customs, export control, and trade compliance matters • Lead consulting projects from scoping through implementation and completion • Assess customs and export control processes, identify regulatory risks, compliance gaps, and optimization opportunities • Develop and implement practical compliance strategies, frameworks, internal controls, procedures, and governance structures • Identify business opportunities and develop qualified Sales leads into consulting projects • Build and maintain trusted client relationships and support cross-selling and upselling • Contribute to proposals, presentations, pitches, scopes of work, contract discussions, and commercial materials • Define project objectives, deliverables, responsibilities, and priorities with clients and stakeholders • Coordinate internal specialists, external stakeholders, customers, and authorities • Advise on applications for import, export, transit, and other customs-related licences and authorizations • Plan, conduct, and manage customs and trade compliance audits and remediation plans • Monitor customs regulations, export controls, trade agreements, and related compliance developments • Prepare and analyze reports covering CBAM, Intrastat, authorizations, and other compliance topics • Review and prepare customs and export-related documentation, including documentation for authorities such as BAFA • Design and deliver customs, trade compliance, and export control training sessions and workshops • Share expertise, establish best practices, mentor less experienced consultants, and support team development

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of relevant professional experience in customs, export control, international trade compliance, or a related advisory field • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, customs procedures, trade compliance, and export control requirements • Experience advising internal or external stakeholders on complex regulatory and operational topics • Experience independently leading and delivering complex projects • Ability to analyze customs and compliance processes, identify risks, and translate findings into practical improvement measures • Experience developing or implementing customs, export control, or trade compliance programs, processes, or internal controls • Strong client orientation and ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders • Commercial mindset and ability to identify business opportunities and develop client needs into consulting projects • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination capabilities • Strong communication and presentation skills • Proactive, hands-on approach with personal accountability and ownership • High quality standards, sound professional judgment, and strong compliance mindset • Experience with business development activities, proposals, pitches, or commercial negotiations is advantageous • Experience dealing with customs authorities and relevant regulatory institutions is advantageous • Experience with CBAM, Intrastat, customs authorizations, audits, and regulatory reporting is advantageous • Experience designing or delivering professional training and workshops is advantageous • Ability and willingness to support less experienced colleagues through knowledge sharing, coaching, and mentoring
