📋 Description

• Lead the Tableau BI platform for a large-scale technology organization specializing in data and AI • Own Tableau content architecture, including published data sources, permissions, publisher lifecycle, and platform governance • Diagnose and resolve dashboard performance issues involving slow extracts, inefficient queries, and workbook design • Define and enforce best practices for a large community of content authors • Build enablement materials including documentation, training, and guides • Anticipate demand from business functions building in Tableau • Explore and implement Tableau MCP integrations • Build or deploy Tableau skills and agent integrations • Translate business needs between stakeholders and engineering

🎯 Requirements

• Deep working knowledge of Tableau as a platform, including content architecture, governance, published data sources, permissions, and the publisher lifecycle • Hands-on experience with dashboard performance tuning, including extracts, queries, and workbook design • Experience defining and enforcing best practices across a large community of content authors, including enablement • Understanding of what different business functions build in Tableau and ability to anticipate future needs • Familiarity with Tableau MCP and experience building or deploying Tableau skills or agent integrations • Strong communication skills to translate business needs to engineering and vice versa • Availability to work Pacific Time hours with meaningful daily overlap with the client team • Located in the Americas • Professional English, spoken and written, suitable for stakeholder meetings • Tableau certification is strongly preferred; preferred certifications include Salesforce Certified Tableau Consultant, Salesforce Certified Tableau Architect, Salesforce Certified Tableau Server Administrator, and Salesforce Certified Tableau Data Analyst
