📋 Description

• Work with the Operations team to support and manage customer environments in Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP), focused on database technologies across multiple engines, including SQL, PaaS, MongoDB, Oracle, and PostgreSQL • Work as part of the Cloud Engineering team on tickets requiring in-depth diagnosis or involving crises • Validate that tickets contain sufficient context to continue handling them • Perform in-depth technical diagnosis through analysis of logs, metrics, traces, and root-cause investigation • Execute the technical resolution of crises in collaboration with the Incident Commander • Execute complex changes and implementations (GMUD), including planning, execution, and rollback • Perform advanced database troubleshooting, covering performance, deadlocks, locks, replication, backup/restore, high availability, indexes, and queries • Apply workarounds to stabilize environments while the definitive solution is being prepared • Write an RCA for each incident handled, including the timeline, technical diagnosis, identified root cause, and actions taken • Submit the RCA for review by the Cloud Reliability Engineering (CRE) team before sending it to the customer • Document and share knowledge in KBs, playbooks, and runbooks • Inform the CRE team about customer-impacting crises and recurring issues, outages, or risks of recurrence • Identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and AI adoption, and negotiate them with management

🎯 Requirements

• Database administration and management • Cross-platform experience with MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL • Experience resolving problems and incidents • Experience analyzing tablespaces, object distribution, storage structures, database fragmentation, and throughput (I/O) • Experience tuning SQL query performance • Knowledge of backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures • Knowledge of tuning, index creation, permissions, and user management • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP is desirable • Knowledge of Linux and Windows is desirable • Experience preparing reports • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Proactive approach • Teamwork skills • Flexibility and adaptability • Ability to work under pressure • Time self-management and activity tracking • Internal and external negotiation skills • Ability to work on multiple projects and activities simultaneously • Associate-level certification (or equivalent) in AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI • Database-specific certifications—Oracle, MySQL, or SQL • AWS Certified Database – Specialty or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
