📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines moving data from source systems into Snowflake • Implement pipeline orchestration with scheduling, monitoring, alerting, and failure or data-quality recovery • Develop and manage Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, stages, streams, tasks, and stored procedures • Optimize query performance and warehouse utilization through clustering, partitioning, and warehouse sizing • Implement and enforce Snowflake role-based access control policies • Design and implement dimensional and relational data models across raw, conformed, and consumption zones • Use dbt or equivalent tooling for modular, version-controlled, tested SQL transformations • Implement data quality checks, anomaly detection, and lineage tracking • Apply data classification, masking policies, and retention rules for sensitive information and compliance • Contribute to data catalog and metadata management practices • Partner with business analysts, data scientists, and application developers to deliver structured datasets • Maintain documentation of pipeline architecture, data models, transformation logic, and platform configurations • Perform related ad hoc tasks • Report to the Vice President of Technology and collaborate with technology leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field • 2+ years of professional experience in a data engineering role • Direct, hands-on experience building pipelines and data models in Snowflake • Very proficient written and spoken English • Availability to work 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday • Strong proficiency in SQL • Working knowledge of Python or a comparable scripting language • Deep technical expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance optimization, security configuration, and native features including Snowpark, Cortex, and dynamic tables • Familiarity with dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and layered architecture patterns such as medallion frameworks • Commitment to data quality and governance practices
