📋 Description

• Own day-to-day accounting, compliance, and financial operations for the India entity • Handle bookkeeping, vendor and customer invoicing, GST/TDS filings, payroll compliance, and statutory filings including ROC, PF, and PT • Perform bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations, using systems that flag exceptions • Own the month-end close calendar, journal entries, accruals, and reporting packages • Manage AP/AR operations, including invoice processing, payment runs, collections follow-up, and expense management • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and the company secretary • Maintain continuously audit-ready documentation • Identify and automate manual, repetitive finance workflows using existing tools, AI, and no-code automation • Shorten close timelines and automate or AI-assist recurring finance tasks • Focus on variance analysis, compliance risk, and vendor negotiations rather than data entry

🎯 Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in accounting/finance operations • Experience ideally at a startup or fast-growing company; SaaS experience is a strong plus • Strong working knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance • Hands-on experience with an accounting system such as Zoho Books, Tally, QuickBooks, or similar • ERP exposure, including NetSuite, is a bonus • Ability to own the full close cycle independently • Fluency with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar for communications, policy summaries, compliance research, financial models, and analyses • Ability to build or configure spreadsheet/AI-assisted workflows to automate recurring finance tasks • Experience with, or willingness to quickly learn, low-code/no-code tools such as n8n, Zapier, or Google Apps Script • Ability to connect finance systems including accounting software, Gmail, Google Sheets, and Slack • Ability to use AI for reconciliation and variance analysis • Track record of automating or streamlining a manual process in a past role • Must describe one automated or streamlined manual finance process in the application • Must complete a practical automation-focused exercise during the interview process
