Ecocem is a pioneer of high-performance technology that significantly reduces CO2 emissions in the cement and construction industries. Its technology reduces the carbon footprint of the traditional cement manufacturing process by half. An independent company with a world-class innovation centre and four manufacturing facilities across Europe, Ecocem’s technology, products, and services can help the cement industry cost-effectively decarbonise by 50 per cent by 2030 – and ultimately, build a more sustainable future for all

📋 Description

• Increase specification of Ecocem low-carbon solutions across major Irish projects. • Deliver CPDs and technical sessions to architects, engineers, designers and consultants — always positioning our concrete producers as the delivery route. • Build strong relationships with Government, semi-state bodies and industry organisations to embed low-carbon materials into standards, procurement rules and policy. • Strengthen Ecocem’s voice in key industry and trade groups. • Identify opportunities with developers, FDI clients, major contractors and project influencers. • Build and track a pipeline of projects where Ecocem solutions can be specified. • Support customers by showing how Ecocem products help them compete in low-carbon tenders. • Create partnerships for trials, pilots and demonstration projects involving both Ecocem and our customers. • Monitor legislation, standards and policy changes; summarise risks and opportunities for the business. • Identify and secure funding for research, innovation and demonstration projects. • Work closely with Group Sustainability & Public Affairs to align Ireland with Ecocem’s wider decarbonisation and market-transformation strategy. • Bring market and customer insight into the development of future technologies. • Support rollout of ACT and other innovations through partnerships, demos and stakeholder engagement. • Help position Ecocem as a long-term solutions partner, not just a materials supplier. • Represent Ecocem at conferences, industry events, and policy forums as a credible voice on low-carbon construction. • Deliver a consistent message: Ecocem enables its customers to deliver the lowest-carbon concrete in the market.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in senior business development, market development, or strategic roles, ideally within construction, infrastructure, materials, energy, or other regulated and technical industries. • Strong understanding of how demand is created through policy, standards, and specifications rather than solely through traditional sales activity. • Demonstrated ability to influence architects, engineers, specifiers, regulations, and industry bodies to drive adoption of new solutions. • Experience working with public authorities, policymakers, or industry associations, with the ability to translate regulatory change into commercial opportunity. • Solid technical understanding of construction materials and sustainability topics, such as embodied carbon, lifecycle assessment, and low-carbon materials. • Comfortable working independently while maintaining close alignment with Sales, Technical Managers, and Group functions including Public Affairs and Sustainability. • Strategic mindset with patience for long sales and influence cycles, combined with a clear focus on long-term commercial impact. • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills, including confidence representing the company externally at senior level. • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams. • Credibility with both technical and non-technical audiences. • Motivated by sustainability, innovation, and the transformation of the construction sector.

🏖️ Benefits

• Culture built on our company values of Cohesion, Innovation, Tenacity and Empowerment • Competitive salary • Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare and pension • Generous holiday allowance • Life Assurance • Friendly & welcoming multicultural team environment • Learning & Development opportunities • A career with a global company where Sustainability, Safety and Inclusion are business drivers and foundational elements of the daily work
