📋 Description

• Build end-to-end features: Java on the backend and React on the frontend • Implement the integration layer with the external scheduling API, including failure handling, retries, and consistency • Build conversational orchestration and the points at which the LLM classifies, extracts, and responds • Model and evolve persistence across relational and non-relational databases • Work with messaging and asynchronous processing for routines outside the conversation flow • Write automated tests and actively participate in code reviews • Contribute to architecture discussions with sound technical reasoning • Investigate and resolve issues in production environments • Use AI thoughtfully in your own development process and rigorously review its output • Share context and support team members who are just getting started • Develop a conversational AI platform for healthcare that serves patients via WhatsApp, schedules, confirms, and reschedules appointments, and integrates with clinic scheduling systems

🎯 Requirements

• Solid software development experience, with a track record of delivering production systems • Java on the backend and React on the frontend, with autonomy across both areas • Docker and containerization; familiarity with Azure deployments • Relational database expertise, including modeling, querying, and optimization • Knowledge of non-relational databases, with a clear understanding of when they are the right choice • AI-assisted development as a working practice, with daily use of Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent tools • Deep knowledge of applied AI: LLM application engineering, prompt design, structured output, RAG, guardrails, and quality evaluation • Experience consuming and integrating third-party APIs • Ability to unblock yourself independently and clarity about when to ask for help • Commitment to quality without becoming perfectionistic in ways that delay delivery • Ability to collaborate within a small squad • Genuine curiosity about applying AI to products
