📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, maintain and enhance Golang microservices and frontend applications • Deliver performant, customer-facing interfaces driven by the design system • Own features from ideation through production • Influence technical strategy and communicate architectural decisions • Navigate trade-offs between existing systems and new technologies • Improve performance and observability of services and applications • Improve team and business quality of life through automation, process improvement or new technologies • Collect, process, verify and serve large amounts of financial data describing cross-border payments • Interact with stakeholders across the business and immediate engineering team

🎯 Requirements

• Experience writing Golang services and web app backends • Experience deploying applications in Docker containers • Experience building componentised application frontends in React/TypeScript • Ability to write performant SQL • Understanding of clean code principles and TypeScript and Go idioms • Experience reviewing code and establishing team quality standards • Ability to learn and engage with a new business domain and product • Ability to communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical people • Ability to discuss learning and skills improvement • Experience with concurrent logic applications, such as goroutines, is helpful but not essential • Experience building CI/CD pipelines, especially with GitLab CI, is helpful but not essential • Experience configuring observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana is helpful but not essential • Experience using AI to increase productivity and productionise AI tools is helpful but not essential • Experience with MaterialUI, Airflow, Python or Terraform is helpful but not essential • Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 9-5 EST/EDT, with potential on-call support required
