📋 Description

• Own and evolve an enterprise-ready GitHub Copilot enablement approach, including usage patterns, prompt standards, and governance for regulated environments • Create and curate a repository-backed library of reusable prompt files for bug fixes, brownfield enhancements, refactoring, test generation, and security remediation • Define and implement guardrails requiring tests, reviews, and automated scanning before AI-assisted code can be merged • Configure and enforce GitHub Advanced Security practices, including CodeQL code scanning, dependency review/alerts, secret scanning, and push protection • Integrate security results into pull-request gating • Establish measurement and reporting for Copilot usage, productivity, quality, risk, review cycle time, defects, and security findings • Partner with AppSec, compliance, platform engineering, security, and product stakeholders on safe, governed AI-assisted development • Contribute to and review C#/.NET codebases using ASP.NET Core and EF Core • Build developer tooling and automation such as GitHub Actions, internal utilities, and code generators • Create and maintain secure-pattern sample implementations and golden paths • Develop LLM-powered developer-experience and engineering-insight workflows on Azure OpenAI, such as PR summarization, guided debugging, and quality dashboards • Deliver Copilot customization assets, trustworthy impact reporting, repeatable Copilot-guided workflows, and enterprise-aligned AI development practices

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7 years of software engineering experience delivering production systems with strong engineering discipline (testing, reviews, CI/CD) • Hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot in professional development workflows • Ability to design and operationalize prompt files, custom instructions, and reusable agent-like workflows for teams • Practical experience with .NET (C#) and modern application development (ASP.NET Core and/or EF Core) • Ability to read, debug, and implement changes confidently • Strong GitHub fundamentals: branching strategies, PR-based delivery, code reviews, and GitHub Actions (or equivalent CI) • GitHub Copilot administration experience (policy management, organizational customization, adoption measurement and reporting) — nice to have • Experience building developer tooling or IDE extensions (Visual Studio/VS Code), internal CLIs, or PR automation — nice to have • Hands-on experience with GitHub Advanced Security (CodeQL, secret scanning, dependency review/Dependabot) and rulesets/required checks for merge gating — nice to have • Clear, scalable architecture with documented trade-offs • Readable, tested, maintainable code with robust error handling
