• Partner with Sourcing and Engineering to qualify, approve, and develop suppliers in alignment with sourcing strategy and long-term business needs • Manage supplier approval for parts and assemblies associated with Aero gas turbines, including compressor, combustor and turbine modules, plus diversified small parts • Define and execute product and process qualifications for complex parts and assemblies to ensure readiness for serial production • Review and approve Manufacturing Process Plans, Product and Process Quality Plans, control plans, and inspection plans • Translate critical-to-quality, customer, and regulatory requirements into supplier process controls and inspection methods • Validate first article inspection and ongoing product verification; monitor process capability and drive corrective actions • Manage and approve Supplier Deviation Requests, ensuring risks are assessed, documented, and controlled • Drive evaluation and disposition of supplier nonconformances with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Field teams • Lead containment, rework, and recovery actions at supplier facilities, assembly sites, and wind farm sites; ensure effective closure and documentation • Analyze Cost of Poor Quality data, field feedback, and assembly/shop issues to identify systemic supplier improvements • Lead Root Cause Analysis and FMEA with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions • Conduct quality system, product, and process audits at supplier sites and verify compliance with GE Vernova QMS requirements, procedures, and applicable industry standards
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant technical field from an accredited university or college • Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings (GD&T) and specifications • Experience and knowledge of complex machining, heat treat and various welding processes • Experience conducting holistic, quality system, process, and/or product audits • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop vendors/suppliers • Previous experience in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing/Process Quality, preferably with general manufacturing processes, machining, heat treat and welding • Strong technical, oral, and written communication skills • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global team environments • Flexibility and willingness to travel to suppliers up to 50% • Excellent written and verbal English language skills • Experience with Gas Turbines, specifically compressor, combustor and turbine modules • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems; document, plan, and execute projects • Quality training and/or related work experience, e.g., ISO 9001 • Root Cause Analysis training in a recognized methodology, e.g., 8D, PSR, RCA or equivalent • Strong capabilities in FMEA, error proofing (Poka-Yoke), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) • Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent quality certification • Hands-on expertise with fabrications, welding, machining, and NDT inspection • Experience interfacing with customers and senior leadership, including preparation, delivery and presentation of supplier quality activities
