📋 Description

• Collaborate with fellow engineers, the product team, and stakeholders to build high-quality tools that meet real business objectives • Develop and maintain full-stack features across modern web applications, from backend APIs to responsive frontend user interfaces • Create geospatial data visualizations and map-based interfaces using Mapbox GL JS and deck.gl • Design and consume event-driven services using Kafka for real-time data streaming and system integration • Build and operate cloud-native infrastructure using AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes/ArgoCD, and background job workers • Ship changes through GitLab CI/CD and evolve database schemas through versioned migrations with Flyway • Instrument applications with logging, metrics, and alerting • Own features, services, and components end-to-end, including technical design, tradeoff evaluation, coding, deployment, and production operations

🎯 Requirements

• 4–6 years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of shipping robust, production-grade applications • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent demonstrated experience) • Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex CLI, or similar), and the judgment to review, test, and push back on what they produce • Strong command of at least one backend language (Python preferred) and working fluency with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) • Working knowledge of modern web-based frontend development - JavaScript/TypeScript and React or an equivalent framework • English fluency • Excellent written and verbal communication • Self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and equally comfortable giving and receiving direction • Comfortable learning new technologies and adapting to changing priorities
