📋 Description

• Own the setup and configuration of the accounting module within the company's proprietary ERP system • Build and structure the chart of accounts for the company's product-based business model • Configure workflows for order management, purchasing, inventory receipts, and sales • Ensure accurate, audit-ready financial statements from system setup • Collaborate with the ERP implementation team on accounting logic and system architecture • Configure inventory accounting, including COGS, inventory valuation, landed costs, and adjustments • Establish inventory reconciliation and physical count adjustment processes • Validate accurate financial entries for ERP inventory movements • Define and configure profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting • Validate and reconcile system-generated reports • Resolve configuration gaps and discrepancies before go-live • Document accounting workflows, configurations, and reporting structures • Support month-end close and clean, reconciled financials • Assist with US tax compliance requirements, including sales tax setup • Guide internal team members on accounting workflows • Identify issues and improvement opportunities during production adoption

🎯 Requirements

• Proven US accounting experience with strong understanding of US GAAP • Experience accounting for businesses stocking and selling physical products • Knowledge of inventory valuation, COGS, and order-to-cash workflows • Familiarity with ERP accounting modules and enterprise-system configuration • Experience with at least one recognized ERP platform such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Acumatica, Epicor Prophet 21, Sage, Odoo, Infor, or SAP is a strong plus • Strong attention to detail and zero-tolerance approach to financial configuration inaccuracies • Ability to work independently and make sound accounting judgments • Clear written and verbal English communication skills • Availability during US business hours • Experience configuring an accounting module during ERP implementation or migration is nice to have • Wholesale, distribution, e-commerce, or product-based accounting background is nice to have • Familiarity with US sales tax configuration and compliance is nice to have • CPA or equivalent accounting credential is nice to have • Experience with custom or proprietary ERP systems is nice to have • Updated resume required for application • Short 1–2 minute Loom video required; candidates without one will not advance
