📋 Description

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions • Complete bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations • Maintain general ledgers and ensure accurate data entry • Assist with preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports • Support payroll processing and compliance requirements • Prepare BAS, IAS, and other regulatory submissions under supervision • Investigate discrepancies and resolve financial data issues • Communicate with clients to collect information or clarify details • Support senior bookkeepers and accountants with end of month tasks • Maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day bookkeeping operations across multiple clients • Support senior accounting staff with more complex tasks

🎯 Requirements

• Philippines-based candidate • 2–5+ years of proven experience in Australian bookkeeping, ideally at an intermediate level • Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and general ledger maintenance • Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data • Good communication skills when working with clients and internal teams • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn • Relevant bookkeeping or accounting certification is preferred • Willingness to disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work • Must reflect this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor” • Ability to align with AU business hours for collaboration, approximately 9 AM–5 PM Monday to Friday
