📋 Description

• Manage and oversee electrical products and systems for data center, HVAC, and energy storage applications • Develop specifications, select key components, route wires and cables, establish connections, and transition designs to manufacturing • Lead test process implementation and ensure equipment alignment for operational excellence and reliability • Conduct PLD design, component selection, wire and cable sizing/routing, and connections • Review vendor drawings and prepare BOMs, calculations, data sheets, drawings, specifications, and test plans • Evaluate electrical system operations and recommend modifications to correct malfunctions or accommodate requirement changes • Collaborate on new product development for low-voltage switchgear, power distribution cabinets, and LV panel boards • Lead electrical engineering design reviews • Prepare and review short-circuit coordination studies and maintain software models • Review control panel designs and UL standards • Assess requirements and actions needed for manufacturing readiness • Interface with mission-critical design engineering, server hardware, environmental health and safety, and controls engineering teams • Work with system architects to understand product specifications and electrical system architecture • Collaborate with project managers on design quotations and identify project risks • Monitor product delivery for quality and schedule adherence • Test, debug, and validate electrical systems and support manufacturing processes • Manage electrical component vendor and contract manufacturer relationships • Propose R&D project ideas and assess engineering feasibility and cost-effectiveness • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university • Suitable combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in mission-critical facility designs • Knowledge of electrical systems used in data center environments, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, and PDU/PMM units • Experience with electrical power systems, including low- and medium-voltage, switchgear, distribution systems, AC/DC systems, hardware specifications, hardware interfacing, and power management tools • Proven experience in electrical specification development, component selection, and system integration • Expertise in wiring and cable management systems • Proficiency with CAD software for electrical design; AutoCAD Electrical and Creo Schematic preferred • Ability to perform PLD design, component selection, wire and cable sizing/routing, and connections • Ability to review vendor drawings and prepare BOMs, calculations, data sheets, detailed drawings, specifications, and test plans • Skill in reading single-line and schematic diagrams • Experience with power distribution products and equipment and translating designs into manufacturing drawings • Ability to prepare/review short-circuit coordination studies and maintain software models • Knowledge of control panel design and UL standards • Familiarity with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management • Experience in WindChill and DevOps is a plus • Strong problem-solving, communication, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight as part of a global team
