📋 Description

• Manage and oversee electrical products or systems for data center, HVAC, and energy storage applications • Develop specifications, select components, route wires and cables, establish connections, and transition designs to manufacturing • Lead electrical engineering design, reviews, test process implementation, equipment alignment, testing, debugging, and validation • Conduct PLD design, component selection, wire and cable sizing/routing, and connections • Perform vendor drawing reviews and prepare BOMs, calculations, data sheets, detailed drawings, specifications, and test plans • Interpret single-line and schematic diagrams, evaluate electrical system operations, and recommend modifications • Collaborate on electrical power distribution equipment designs, including low-voltage switchgear, power distribution cabinets, and LV panel boards • Prepare and review short-circuit coordination studies and maintain software models to match as-built conditions • Review control panel designs and UL standards • Interface with design engineering, server hardware, environmental health and safety, controls engineering, and system architecture teams • Collaborate with project managers on design quotations and identify and mitigate project risks • Monitor product delivery quality and schedule adherence • Support manufacturing processes and manage relationships with electrical component vendors and contract manufacturers • Keep current with technologies and methods; propose R&D project ideas • Assess engineering feasibility and cost-effectiveness with management and production staff • Undertake other assigned duties and responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university • Alternatively, a suitable combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in mission-critical facility designs • Knowledge of electrical systems used in data center environments, energy storage systems, or HVAC applications • Background in electrical power, including low- and medium-voltage systems, switchgear, distribution systems, AC/DC systems, hardware specifications, hardware interfacing, and power management tools • Proven experience in electrical specification development, component selection, and system integration • Experience with wiring and cable management systems • Proficiency with CAD software for electrical design; AutoCAD Electrical and Creo Schematic preferred • Experience with PLD design, transformers, breakers, relays, UPS, ATS, wire and cable sizing/routing, and connections • Ability to perform vendor drawing reviews and prepare technical documentation • Ability to read and interpret single-line and schematic diagrams • Experience with power distribution products and equipment, testing products to current codes and standards, and translating designs into manufacturing drawings • Familiarity with Energy Storage Systems and Data Center Infrastructure standards and regulations such as NEC and IEC preferred • Familiarity with Windchill and DevOps is a plus • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; creative, self-motivated, accountable, and team-oriented • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight as part of a global team • Proficiency in interpreting technical procedures, regulations, professional journals, and business publications • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural guides • Ability to present information and respond to management, clients, and public queries • Ability to influence others, share best practices, and mentor less experienced engineers • Ability to assess projects, articulate risks, and develop project milestones • Familiarity with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
