📋 Description

• Work on modernization projects for legacy Java/JEE systems to containerized application architectures • Apply migration strategies for monolithic applications, including strangler fig, incremental re-architecture, and coexistence between legacy and new systems • Define security and authentication architecture, and communication and integration between systems using REST APIs and messaging • Apply resilience and fault-tolerance patterns, caching, distributed transactions, and queues • Define containerization strategies and adoption of Kubernetes/OpenShift, including base infrastructure • Structure CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices for deployment automation • Define deployment, monitoring, and observability strategies for systems • Provide technical leadership in development and modernization projects and participate in architecture forums • Apply Software Engineering processes, Service-Oriented Architecture, and Reverse Engineering • Apply software design techniques, including Hexagonal Architecture, Clean Code principles, Domain-Driven Design, API First, ADRs, agile methodologies, and configuration management • Use basic knowledge of project management techniques

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the role • Java and Spring Framework / Spring Boot / Spring Cloud • REST APIs • Hexagonal Architecture (Ports & Adapters) and Clean Code principles • Containers with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes/OpenShift • Messaging and queues, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ • Distributed cache, such as Redis • CI/CD with Bitbucket and GitOps with ArgoCD • Authentication and authorization with OAuth2 and JWT • Resilience patterns: Circuit Breaker, Retry, and Bulkhead • Degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field • Knowledge of OpenShift or Kubernetes • Knowledge of legacy WebSphere environment • Experience with Java 6 through Java 21 • Knowledge of Oracle database • Pluses: legacy Java 6/JEE applications, DWR, JSP, jQuery and Spring Batch; Grafana/Dynatrace; CDN and MinIO; asynchronous processing, parallel threads and batch routines; AI applied to software engineering, code-generation agents, LLMs, harness engineering and Agent Skills
