📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end people agenda across African markets, including Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and South Africa • Partner with senior local leaders on team dynamics, performance and organisational design • Own complex or escalated employee relations cases across the region • Provide hands-on support to the Nigeria People Advisor on their caseload • Manage and coach the People Advisor, Nigeria • Own South African statutory and employment law compliance • Oversee compliance across other African markets, working with local expertise where needed • Run regional people operations, including onboarding, offboarding, data accuracy and recurring HR processes • Consolidate people data across Africa and provide the VP People with insights into retention, engagement and overall organisational health • Localise and roll out global people initiatives across African markets • Support the Senior People Ops Manager on global people operations projects • Coach and upskill people managers across the region on LemFi’s management standards

🎯 Requirements

• 6–9 years’ experience as an HR generalist, with strong exposure to African markets (Nigeria is a big plus) • Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases end to end • Experience managing or mentoring a direct report • Strong working knowledge of South African labour law, including the BCEA, LRA and Employment Equity Act, and statutory requirements • Experience working within a global or distributed business • Proficiency with modern HRIS platforms; experience with Rippling is a plus • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across cultures and seniority levels • Comfortable moving between local and international stakeholders • Ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and challenge the status quo • Ability to take full responsibility for the Africa people agenda
