📋 Description

• Support operational and strategic controlling within the Finance team • Prepare and develop budgets, forecasts, and business plans • Conduct budget variance analyses • Prepare management reports, utilization reports, and other controlling and management KPIs • Analyze revenue, cost, margin, and profitability metrics, including gross profit calculations • Support and validate month-end closing activities • Analyze provisions, revenue accruals and deferrals, and personnel costs • Manage project controlling in the ZEP system, including budget monitoring, utilization analyses, and data quality assurance • Conduct bonus analyses • Further develop reporting, BI, and controlling processes • Contribute to Finance transformation and automation projects • Prepare and present reports on financial performance, including analyses • Support operational Finance processes, particularly payment processes, travel expenses, invoicing matters, and finance-related process improvements • Work on projects for leading pharmaceutical companies in the international life sciences sector

🎯 Requirements

• Successfully completed degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or a comparable field • Several years of professional experience in Controlling, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Reporting, or Finance • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance management • Excellent understanding of accounting relationships and the impact of business transactions on the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex financial matters clearly and derive actionable recommendations • Structured, detail-oriented approach and a strong affinity for numbers, data, and KPIs • Ability to produce well-founded analyses accurately and quickly, even under time pressure • Experience in project and resource controlling, as well as analyzing profitability, utilization, and financial performance • Knowledge of business cases, forecasts, and scenario analyses • Experience with business intelligence tools and developing and enhancing dashboards and reporting solutions • Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Power BI, Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with management, business units, tax advisors, and international stakeholders • Very good written and spoken German and English skills • Preferred: Experience with intercompany transactions and international corporate structures • Preferred: Knowledge of project controlling systems, such as ZEP • Preferred: Interest in data-driven Finance processes, business intelligence, and AI-powered analytical tools
