📋 Description

• Work in performance engineering, load testing, and monitoring on a project with an assignment at a client in Spain. • Lead the full performance engineering lifecycle for the client’s applications. • Define testing strategies and model loads based on actual production behavior. • Execute controlled and reproducible tests, including distributed scenarios. • Analyze results to identify the root causes of performance issues. • Monitor the environment during testing using APM, infrastructure metrics, logs, and traces. • Collaborate with Development, Database, Infrastructure, Architecture, and SRE teams. • Serve as MTP’s technical reference point with the client. • Establish acceptance criteria and baselines, and track regressions across releases. • Develop, maintain, and enhance Apache JMeter scripts and test suites. • Prepare and validate test environments. • Analyze response times, throughput, errors, and infrastructure components. • Recommend corrective actions and validate performance improvements. • Prepare technical and executive reports covering capacity, bottlenecks, risks, and recommendations. • Automate tests and support integration into CI/CD pipelines. • Support investigations of performance incidents in production.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience as a Performance Analyst or Performance Engineer, working regularly on real-world performance testing and engineering projects. • Strong practical expertise with Apache JMeter, including the development, maintenance, and enhancement of test suites. • Hands-on experience with monitoring and APM tools. • Knowledge of Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus, or Elastic, or equivalent solutions. • Experience with load modeling and defining performance acceptance criteria. • Ability to analyze results and identify bottlenecks and root causes based on evidence. • Knowledge of performance metrics and indicators, including response times, throughput, errors, and percentiles. • Knowledge of CPU, memory, garbage collection, threads, connection pools, caching, I/O, and networking. • Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, REST, SOAP, WebSocket, gRPC, and/or messaging. • Knowledge of distributed architectures and microservices. • Database knowledge for analyzing execution plans, indexes, locks, contention, and query impact. • Scripting skills using Java, Groovy, Python, or JavaScript. • Experience in distributed environments and collaborating with Development and Infrastructure teams. • Advanced English, including technical reading, writing, and conversation skills. • Operational Spanish for day-to-day interaction with the client. • Preferred qualifications: Selenium/WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, automation frameworks, Performance as Code, CI/CD, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, quality gates, shift-left, k6, Gatling, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, BlazeMeter, AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, SRE, ISTQB, APM, consulting, regulated industries, and Chaos Engineering.
