📋 Description

• Own, build, maintain, and scale streaming services and support tools • Participate in an on-call rotation and build stability and automation into services • Participate in architectural definitions with innovation and creativity • Own and improve team processes • Develop automation and tooling to improve service scalability and reliability • Use innovation time to develop creative ideas • Collaborate with a globally distributed team to develop expertise and best practices for operating highly reliable streaming services

🎯 Requirements

• Experience developing back-end services using Flink, Kafka, or other streaming platforms; large scale is a plus • Experience writing software in Java and adapting to different languages and frameworks • Experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and scaling in a production environment • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment delivering production code regularly using Agile techniques, tools, and methodologies • Collaborative work style including colleagues in important decisions and shared code ownership • Proficiency in English • Experience with Apache Flink is a bonus • Experience developing software in production Kubernetes environments at scale is a bonus • Experience using New Relic or similar service and infrastructure observability solutions is a bonus • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position • Must verify identity and eligibility to work and complete employment eligibility verification • Criminal background check required
